Status
Morley's Final Catalogue: Very local along our more southern coast. Erwarton (C); also ''Mr. Crewe found larvae on Artemisia vulgaris at Shotley near Landguard Fort'' (sic: Harwood); Orford during 1903 (Gibbs); Aldeburgh (L), imagines at Larkspur flowers (Hele) and larvae there in 1900 (G. F. Matthews).

Recent Suffolk Status: Very local. Main sites are along the coast and in the Breck.

Life history: Single-brooded. Recorded mainly in small numbers at light. The very cryptic larvae have been found in recent years in Suffolk, both on Mugwort and Wormwood.

Identification: Unmistakeable.

Habitat: Wasteland, coastal sites, grass verges, old quarries.

Recorded in 22 (38%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1900.
Last Recorded in 2023.
